Bertelsmann is a highly decentralized Group with over 117, 000 employees in 50 countries around the world. To ensure that company managers share the same values, outlook and entrepreneurial spirit, Bertelsmann wanted to develop a customized program in partnership with HEC Paris.
The firms within the Group have a lot of autonomy and decision-making power. To create a real sense of belonging and a shared leadership culture, Bertelsmann chose to collaborate with HEC Paris to co-create a program integrating the international and cultural dimensions that are of vital importance in any successful leadership program.
The two HEC Paris facilitators foster a learning environment that makes participants feel safe to speak up and share insights from their different businesses. Often, even though they are so diverse, they discover that they face many of the same challenges.” — Katharina Schoof, Director, Leadership Campus Bertelsmann University at Bertelsmann SE & CO, KGaA
